Golfing: What trip to the birthplace of golf would be complete without actually playing a few rounds while visiting? Many courses are located in and around the Perth area for all skill levels including Gleneagles, Blairgowrie, and Culcrieff. All facilities are fully staffed and are eager to accommodate your visit with whatever may be required.

Moncreiffe Hill: Located just three miles south of Perth, this 333-acre, beautifully wooded area offers over 12 km of marked trails perfect for walking and running. For those energetic guests who wish to hike to the top, several viewpoints are available from which to view the spectacular Perthshire landscape, or simply to relax and unwind for those who do not. Two Iron Age hill forts await those who are adventurous.

Kinnoull Hill Woodland Park: On the eastern edge of Perth, the dominating Kinnoull Hill awaits visitors, offering splendid viewpoints of the surrounding countryside. Five hills make up Kinnoull Hill Woodland Park: Corsiehill, Deuchny Hill, Barnhill, Binn Hill, and Kinnoull Hill. The Park provides a restful and relaxing sanctuary for Perthshire residents and guests. Once there, visitors have the opportunity to enjoy the fresh air while picnicking, walking, cycling, horse riding, and studying the array of wildlife.

T in the Park: Should visitors to hotels in Perth be present during the second week of July, Scotland’s most famous (and largest) annual music festival is held in Kinross over the course of three days. World-renowned artists such as the Foo Fighters, Eminem, and the Black Eyed Peas graced the stages last year, when over 69,000 people attended and watched more than 170 bands on over 10 stages. Certainly a sight to be seen.
